The latest New York Times best-selling book "Women, Food and God" by Geneen Roth explores how the way you eat is inseparable from your core beliefs about being alive. Your relationship with food is an exact mirror of your feelings about love, fear, anger, meaning, transformation and, yes, even God.
This got me thinking about how all the simple little things we eat, drink, make and do impacts us and everybody around us in an infinite number of subtle and yet profound ways. Do I eat this McD's since it's fast and easy, or do I eat this locally organically grown salad that I spent 30 minutes in the morning making myself? Do I go out late Friday night or wake up bright and early on Saturday to build a house with Habitat for Humanity? Do I hang out with the same people I see everyday, or do I venture out the comfort zone and go meet some new people?
How much conscious thought do you put into making everyday decisions? Love to hear from you!
